Boy's room decoration DIY

I found another project to take on for Peter's side of the kids' room. Goodwill, you rock. I always find awesome treasures there. My whole house is almost completely decorated with items I found at Goodwill stores all around Wisconsin.

Last year you may remember this project I did for Sitora's room. It's simply the cutest thing ever. Sitora has so many adorable little treasures she keeps on it. One day a few weeks ago I was browsing through Goodwill and I came across another wooden block shelf similar to hers. I instantly pictured it decorated for Peter's room and snatched it up right away. I took it home and glued boy-style scrapbook paper on the back of all the tiny shelves and hung it on the wall by his changing table. I put little boy toys on the shelves and he likes to play with them while I'm changing his diaper. When he starts sleeping in that room (his crib is currently in the guestroom) his bed will be right under the shelf. So he can play with his toys while sitting in bed! I can't wait to see it someday :)

Here are some pics of him enjoying it. I highly recommend this project as it is cheap, "green" (reusing an item), and it can be tailored for any child's personality and style.

I love decorating my home with DIY projects. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and creative hard work :)

  1. This is so cute! I love the things on his walls too. You're so fun and creative! You always inspire me! I am working on converting J's room back to his room instead of a storage area, so ideas like this are great!
