About

I love Jesus... not just because I'm supposed to say that as a pastor's wife. But because He's my best friend and my solid rock. He's been with me through the mountaintops high and the valleys below. He is my anchor, my joy, my passion. I longingly wait for the day when I'll look into His kind eyes and hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

I love my husband, AKA SuperDan. He swept me off my feet in college when I least expected him. We fell in love, got married, starting working in youth ministry, then overseas ministry, and now are currently leading a church. We are a team. We work together. And I like that. He is laid back and balances my perfectionistic tendencies. He surprises me with Cannon lenses and musical instruments. He gives me back massages and brings me flowers for no reason. He fixes our cars and mops our floors. He loves Jesus and leads our family in wisdom and passion. He is my best friend and the love of my life.

Sitora Faye is my first-born. Her name means "star of faith" and it prophetically has come true in her life! We have always prayed she would shine bright the love of Jesus and draw others unto Himself. She shines like a bright star wherever she goes and everyone can't help but take notice. She loves to dance for Jesus, bake yummy treats, and spend time helping with her two younger brothers.  She loves singing on my worship team at church and also recently started playing piano and singing during the offering time. She has a heart of deep compassion which has resulted in events like organizing a bake sale raising money for refugees and planning a Bible study for young girls. She can memorize Bible verses with astounding accuracy and asks deep questions about God and life on a daily basis. She is my princess.

Peter Daniel is my little buddy. His name means "rock whom God is my judge". We pray he would be a solid man of faith leading others to Jesus and would find His identity in Christ alone. He is so joyful and his smile melts my heart. He adores his sissy and little brother. He can be shy at first, but once he feels comfortable with someone he pours out his love and devotion with loyalty and sincerity. He adores being a big helper and loves to serve. He often accompanies his daddy to work at church where they pray together in the sanctuary and fix things around the building. He loves playing board and strategy games and is always determined to learn new things. Life has so much for him to explore and every day is like an adventure to him ;) He is my little man.

Benjamin Mark is our youngest child who keeps us on our toes with his contagious laughter, curious mind, and articulate vocabulary. His name means "faithful servant of God displaying God's power". He follows his older sister and brother around constantly and refuses to be left out of any activity. He offers smiles and waves hello at strangers and makes everyone feel accepted and loved in a room. We felt the Lord gave us his name one month before his due date and we are excited to watch what the Lord does in his life. He has brought so much joy and adventure to our family!

I am passionate about people growing in their identity in Christ, I love coffee, composing songs on piano, dancing when no one is watching, baking cookies, writing from my heart, photographing weddings, snuggling my hubby and children, training for half marathons, and I simply adore anything vintage. My personality is care-free and whimsical like the whipped cream on your latté.

Welcome to my blog. Dive into the depths of my heart. You may laugh, you might cry. Like sprinkles on your cupcake, may my words brighten your day.
