My Mother's Day

Woke up. Sitora said "Happy Mother's Day!" the second her eyes popped open. Oh my heart.

Styled new hair-do. Obsessed and totally love it.

SuperDan cooked eggs and bacon.

Dressed the muchkins up as cute as possible for church.

Led worship with an amazing band.

Watched a sappy Mother's Day clip and I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye.

Was totally blind-sided with a gift from church full of goodies that I love. Items included a cupcake apron (oh. my. goodness!), chocolates, coffee, candle, adorable dish cloths, Starbucks gift card, and a camera lens coffee mug I've been eying for months!

Spoke about Mother's Day and how all women can spiritually mother, whether our own children or others we are mentoring. Read this article as a tribute to all women. Passed out roses and chocolates.

Listened to SuperDan's inspiring and challenging sermon on women of the Bible and what we can learn from how they raised their children.

Came home to an amazing crock pot meal SuperDan cooked overnight.(Oh and did I mention he scrubbed the floor on his hands and knees the day before?)

SuperDan handed me my Mother's Day present. It was also a camera lens coffee mug! Poor guy- he felt bad that someone else got one for me too. I was totally fine with having two. (Most of my Mother's Day present is a vacation we are taking next month!)

Called my grandma to say "Happy Mother's Day". She's so cute.

The whole fam took a loooooong nap. Oh glorious, beautiful sleep.

Later in the evening we packed the kids up and drove 45 minutes away to eat at Olive Garden. My favorite restaurant in the entire universe. The kids did great and were super sweet and well behaved.

Stopped at Starbucks. Venti White Chocolate Mocha please!

Went to a park and little zoo with the kids.

Called my mom to say "Happy Mother's Day" and see if she liked the photobook I sent her.

Put our little snuggle bugs in bed then watched a romantic chick flick. Two nights in a row, baby! Gotta love sappy movies.

Feeling very blessed after my amazing Mother's Day. I pray you all had a wonderful day as well :)

  1. I LOVE the new hair, so cute! You always look cute no matter what, but this style is more of a "sophisticated" look for you and I love it! I'm so glad you had such a great Mother's Day, you're an amazing Mama! Love ya!

    1. Thank you Julia! I thought of you and how you always rock short hair styles. It was time for me to join the club :) :) I hope you had a great Mother's Day too!
