Our home

I'm sitting here typing on the laptop in our new home.

*gasp* It doesn't feel real yet! It's like I'm in the home of someone else, cleaning and organizing for them. (You know how much fun it is to clean for someone else rather than yourself? I'm still in that "fun" organizing stage that runs along those lines.)

Unpacking boxes and boxes of items I've forgotten about. Sentimental treasures that bring up sharp pangs of emotion. Scarves and artifacts I've collected from all countries we've lived in and visited. We are proudly displaying them in our home and choosing to relive those emotions every time we look at them. Every object holds a memory with it, and with that memory comes tears, laughter, joy, sadness. Many, many emotions. But memories make up who we are and where we've come from. I hope that I'm a better person because of the trials and joys life has brought us through up till now.

Our house has a breathtaking view of the Chippewa River. Just breathtaking. Could I ever imagine this blessing could be ours just a few short months ago? We have one acre of land that will allow us to have fun parties to invite friends and family over, and that's what matters the most to us. The view from the backyard is a mysterious and calm marsh land. I wonder what kinds of exotic animals and insects we will see coming out from it? We also have an eagle's nest in the backyard. Can you believe it? It is a wonderful sight to behold :)

The sunset and sunrise view is so gorgeous I cannot even describe it in words. I haven't had time to take many pictures yet, but I assure you I soon will.

Sitora enjoys playing with her toys in the sunroom, which I have nicknamed, "The princess play room." When you say it that way, she giggles with delight and bolts inside. Peter loves his johnny-jump-up and watches his big sissy play to keep him entertained. Even though two kids is harder than one, in some aspects it is much easier. Sitora entertains her little brother and most the time I can do chores without him making a sound- she is like a circus act for him to behold! Dancing, singing, the whole sha-bang. He loves her and she loves him. I treasure these sweet moments.

SuperDan fixed the dryer today. Ya, he's just awesome. I am so thankful for my husband. He is handy, handsome, and my hero :)

As I practiced the piano tonight for Sunday's service coming up, I thanked the Lord for bringing us here. Everything has fit together perfectly like puzzle pieces. He alone could orchestrate such a beautiful masterpiece, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Goodnight everyone and happy Wednesday :)
